The Pelican newspaper’s editorial staff joins a host of others in believing that Whitney Rawls “is fit for the task” of serving as Pompano Beach’s next District 4 Commissioner. Sun Sentinel Recommends Rawls for District 4 Commissioner

On Thursday, October 23rd, the Sun Sentinel newspaper released its list of endorsements for all 5 races in Pompano Beach. In addition to recommending incumbents Barry Dockswell (District 1), Charlotte Burrie (District 2) and Rex Hardin (District 3), the Sun Sentinel endorsed Whitney Rawls for the District 4 Commission seat. The newspaper’s Editorial Board, which interviews candidates in elections across Broward and Palm Beach counties, says: “Whitney Rawls has demonstrated a commitment to Pompano Beach through service… The logical next step is the City Commission, and the Sun Sentinel Editorial Board recommends District 4 voters elect him as their next commissioner.” … Read More

The Sentry Recommends Whitney for District 4 Commissioner

Local newspaper, The Sentry, recommends Whitney Rawls for Pompano Beach’s District 4 Commissioner. The Sentry lists Rawls’ focus on economics and job creation in the Northwest district as part of it’s reason for the recommendation. Additionally, it touts Rawls’ endorsement from retiring Commissioner Woody Poitier.
