Pompano Beach – The Dist. 5 race just got a little more crowded as Roger Gingerich and Joan McConnell both filed in addition to the 12 other candidates running for the five commission seats here for the Nov. 4 election. Dist. 4 Commissioner Woody Poitier and Dist. 5 Commissioner George Brummer chose not to run. Mayor Lamar Fisher is the commission member not up for re-election this year.

Dist. 1

Commissioner Barry Dockswell will face Angela Hill.

Dist. 2

Commissioner Charlotte Burrie will face Thomas Terwilliger.

Dist. 3

Commissioner Rex Hardin will face Dr. Kenneth Campbell.

Dist. 4

Shelton Pooler, Edward Phillips, Whitney Rawls and Beverly Perkins will run for Poitier’s seat.

Dist. 5

John Bynoe, Barry Moss, Roger Gingerich and Joan McConnell will run for Brummer’s seat.
