The Pelican newspaper’s editorial staff joins a host of others in believing that Whitney Rawls “is fit for the task” of serving as Pompano Beach’s next District 4 Commissioner.

The newspaper recently released its list of endorsements and included Rawls as their recommendation, saying:

“We believe what is needed now is a level head and a strong voice to hold the feet of the CRA to the fire for two reasons: communication and action. Whitney Rawls is the man for the job.”

“Rawls will come to the District 4 seat with no bias. He will come to do some very heavy work to restore recognition, unity and trust.”

In a recent statement Rawls had this to say about the The Pelican newspaper’s endorsement:

“I’m grateful for the endorsement and even more humbled by the words they’ve used to describe what I bring to the table. They believe I have what it takes to serve Pompano Beach as the next Commissioner for District 4.”
